I love this book. In fact, I ordered it for my sister to help her embrace the Bible truths again. The book is practical and breaks down the Bible in practical everyday language that even a child can understand. I am relearning all these subjects and I love it.
I love the way this is written and the QR codes. We just started using this to study online with friends and family. It’s great to learn together, whether your just a beginner or well versed in scripture!
The Road struck me as an intensely caring work to reach those who need tenderness and understanding. I appreciated that part. But for me personally I didn’t need that level of softness. I passed on the book to a sister in my church. Thank you for your efforts, Dr. Marcos
Still deciding if this will be helpful for a friend that does not like reading. Listening to the videos to decide, but not sure yet.
What a refreshing and 'Jesus-centred' study guide. Using it with a small group searching for The Truth, worn down by religion, who are seeking the simplicity and beauty of coming to know Jesus all over again.
I am enjoying the book. However, the on-line text is another story. I purchased not only The Road, but Daniel and Revelation. I downloaded the and started listening to The Road. At this time I am unable to access any of them. This is very frustrating.
Excellent resource. The Road can be read as easily as a book in contemporary language going chapter to chapter or each chapter as a starting point to go very deep into scripture.
I really enjoyed reading ‘The Road’. I liked its simplicity, each chapter is just a few pages long. I liked that it’s Biblical, points are given solid Biblical evidence. I liked its focus on God’s motivation to become one with humanity (us). The book helped my relationship with Jesus.
I did notice one typo which I want to point out. On page 217, in a discussion about the mark of the beast I found a misprint. While writing about the mark of the beast we’re encouraged to look up Revelation 22:41. It doesn’t exist. Revelation 22 has only 21 verses. I’m guessing this was simply a mistaken typo. I’m encouraging you to look into this and make the change so it reads the way you intended.
Thanks again for an excellent book that helps lead people to Jesus. It helped me.
Extremely well written and easy to read and understand. For me it is a great review of christianity and the promise God makes for us. I was and still feel enlightened by this interpretation of the scripture. I have recommended it to all my family
I’m already trying to decide how many to purchase in my next order! A great resource for anyone!
I like looking up the scriptures with the lessons. Having grown up SDA it's a good course.
Melody, Glenn's wife, is the one reading this book. Wonderful perspective! I've been sharing with my husband and he enjoys it too. I've learned some things too. Thank you for your efforts to help us see our loving God.
Haven’t read it yet, happy with the quality
Product is as described. Looking forward to giving it to my grandsons.
Pleasantly surprised!
The website promised an "online school" with a picture of something on a phone. I did not receive anything with my book giving me directions how to take advantage of this "online school".
The information for the online school is on the 3rd page of the book, as soon as you flip the first page you will see a big header that says THE ROAD ONLINE
Read the info there and then scan the QR code and it takes you to the online school. If you can't scan the QR code just go to the app link: www.thewithnessapp.com
Download the free app and sign up. The Road Online school lives inside the app.
The same QR code repeats all throughout the book so it shouldn't be hard to find.
Hope that helps!
I'm only part way through but I love the content and continuity of each chapter. And the way you address church trauma or church damaged people is so novel and very welcoming. thank you for focusing on Jesus/God and showing that he is the the main thread of the Bible!
Seems great and you can tell a lot of work went into it. Love the layout and illustration. Would have loved if it was a hard cover tho
I have only started reading the book but I really appreciate the way topics and tough questions are explained. I hope to use this book as part of my two older kids’ Bible class for homeschool.
I have scanned the book and really like the format. I intend to start reading carefully, and getting into it's depth. Then I should be able to really give you my opinion. I think there's much that I will learn from it. Thanks for producing it.
The Road Comes from the perspective of community. We are all looking for community, and that is because God created us for community. It gives you the facts but from the space of community. This book is worth reading and sharing.
I haven’t had opportunity to work through it yet but am looking forward to diving into it
I only just finished chapter one, which I will probably re-read again because it was really good and I want to make aure I am really settled with what it is trying to tell me!
Love everything!
Easy to understand and work through. I have been an Adventist all my life though but enjoying recapping in Daniel etc. want to share with my grandchildren
This book is a great way to experience the narrative of the Bible!
I've started reading & find it very enriching
We are studying this book as our Sabbath School lessons with the goal of learning how to share the gospel with unchurched. We are done with chapter 12, Beast. I found the book to be the best so far not only for ourselves who have been in church for years, but to be used for the unchurched. I would like to see this book used as a text book for high school kids in our church academies. This book is far better suited to teach or children because it is written so simply, consciously, and yet encompassing the essential truth. I appreciate this book so much. God bless.
